3. Personal and Sensitive Data, Permissions, and Prominent Use Cases

Location permission and live location

Food Truck Finder uses location to provide location-based app functionality. For foodies, location helps display nearby trucks and events, calculate distance, and support directions. For food truck owners, Live Location is an optional feature used to show customers where a truck is currently serving.

Background location disclosure: When a food truck owner turns on Live Location, Food Truck Finder collects, transmits, syncs, and stores the truck/device location to show customers where that truck is serving, including when the app is not open. Live Location is used for this owner-facing truck discovery feature. Owners can turn Live Location off in the app, and users can manage location permissions in device settings.

Photos and media permission

Food Truck Finder may request photo library access so owners, organizers, or admins can upload truck photos, menu photos, event images, profile images, or other listing images. Uploaded images may be displayed publicly if they are part of a public truck or event listing.

Notifications permission

Food Truck Finder may request notification permission to send favorite truck alerts, account notifications, owner maintenance reminders, organizer invites, event responses, or operational updates. You can disable notifications in the app settings or device settings.

Data we do not intentionally collect for app functionality

Food Truck Finder does not intentionally collect financial account numbers, government identification numbers, health data, SMS contents, call logs, phone contacts, or microphone recordings for app functionality. If future features change this, we will update this policy and applicable app disclosures.
